Sign in with your Figma account. On first login you'll choose which projects to load and how far back to look. You can change this anytime via the Projects button in the header.
Use the sidebar to filter comments:
{May 1} or {5月1日}Comments are marked as read automatically when you reply to or react to them. You can also mark individual threads read/unread manually, mark all visible threads read at once, or mark everything before a specific date as read using the toolbar.
⚠ Read/unread state in Comment Wrangler is independent of Figma. Marking something as read here does not affect the unread indicator in Figma, and vice versa.
Add a deadline to any comment by writing a date in curly braces anywhere in the message text:
{May 1} or {5月1日} — specific date{this week} / {今週} — soft deadlineDeadlines are per-message. Adding a ✅ reaction or writing ✅ in a reply dismisses that message's deadline for everyone. You can also click the ✕ on the deadline badge to dismiss it manually.
⚠ After adding a deadline in Figma, open Comment Wrangler to verify it was detected correctly and appears in the Has deadline filter.
Designers can assign any comment or reply to a team member using the Assign… button. The assignee sees it in their Assigned to me filter and receives a Slack DM if they have a Slack member ID set in ⚙ Settings.
To set up Slack notifications, open ⚙ Settings in the sidebar, enter your Slack member ID (find it in Slack: click your profile → ··· → Copy member ID), and make sure the notifications toggle is on.
Paste any Figma comment link into the input in the header and press Enter. Comment Wrangler will show only that comment. If the file isn't already loaded, it will fetch it automatically. Press Escape or click a sidebar filter to return to the normal view.
To copy a comment link from Figma: right-click a comment pin on the canvas → Copy link.
The Open in Figma ↗ link on each comment opens the file and navigates to the correct frame. Due to a Figma limitation, the comment panel cannot be automatically opened or focused from an external link — you will need to locate the comment manually once the file opens.
Hover any comment or reply to see the 🙂 button. Click it to react with an emoji. Reactions sync with Figma in both directions — reactions added here appear in Figma and vice versa.
You can also type emoji shortcodes in replies, e.g. :white_check_mark: converts to ✅ when sent.
